A New Chapter for My Hasselblad: Upgrades and Light Leak Adventures

The Light Leak Saga

Recently, I embarked on an adventure with my beloved Hasselblad 500 CM, an iconic piece of camera history. As a passionate photographer, I always strive for perfection in my shots, but light leaks had started to plague my experience. Rather frustrating, I must say! After diagnosing the problems, I took my camera to the professionals at Camera Museum in London, where they worked their magic by replacing the seals.

Seal Replacements and New Possibilities

After the replacement, I was excited to test my rejuvenated Hasselblad. The guys at the museum were fantastic, and they ensured everything was in top-notch condition. Thankfully, the majority of the light leak issues disappeared. However, I’ve noticed that not all of them have been completely eradicated. Nonetheless, I could see a massive improvement. It was a considerable relief, knowing that my cherished camera was on the mend.

The New Addition: A12 Back

Today, my journey continued at Camera Museum. I decided to invest in a shiny, newer A12 back for my Hasselblad! This new addition promises even more reliability and versatility for my photography sessions. This ergonomic and user-friendly design makes it a perfect match for my photography style. I can’t wait to see how it changes the way I capture moments! Tomorrow is going to be a real test day, and I’m filled with anticipation.

As I prepare for my photography session tomorrow, I’m hopeful that my Hasselblad will deliver stunning images without the hassle of light leaks. I’m ready to dive deep into the world of creativity now that I’ve bolstered my kit with the new A12 back. Fingers crossed, all images will come out pristine, and I can finally put those pesky light leaks behind me.
